The Ministries of Our Church

Doctrinal Positions

Description

Worship

Worship is the ultimate priority of the church. Our congregation are continually drawn to the only reliable and sufficient worship manual: Scripture. If God desires worship in spirit and truth, then surely all true worshipers must fashion their worship in accord with the truth He has revealed. If worship is something offered to God, and not just a show put on for the benefit of the congregation, then every aspect of it must be pleasing to God and in harmony with His Word. Therefore it is our resolve to put emphasis on worship because it heightens our commitment to the centrality of Scripture.

Prayer Meetings

We believe God calls the church to corporate prayer as well as invidual prayer. We seek the Word first to help our mind and hearts be found true with God's word, then respond in prayer in seeking His will to be done. Thanksgivings and supplications are expressed publicly so that they will be included in the two by two prayer.

Bible Studies

We follow the pattern of the first church, that Bible studies be held in every home of our church members. The men leading their family in studying the Word. Neighbors are invited in giving them the opportunity of hearing the Word and believing the Word of Life, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Men's Discipleship

Men in this church are serious in their desire to be Christlike. We study together on series of lessons about the character of the men that God used in the Bible, their roles as father and husbands, their spiritual resources to do God's bidding, and their failures as successes.

Ladies Discipleship

The women in our church are consistently and naturally submissive, why? Simple, they have learned from God's Word the highest calling for women. We desire what God intended women to be by studying bilical women that after God's own heart.

Sunday School

The congregation does not leave after the Worship Service, but stays on for another hour of studying the Word. They learn about the doctrines of the faith that strengthens their soul and give them wisdom to face everyday trials.

Logos Bible Institute

Men and women desiring further studies to equip them to do the work of ministry attend theological courses in the afternoon. We desire would-be ministers and deacons to be driven by theological understanding and practice a lifestyle of holiness.
